House Speaker Joe Hackney says compliance with the federal stimulus requirements is a big concern for many state lawmakers across the country. Hackney, who serves as President of the National Conference of State Legislatures, recently traveled to Washington D.C. where he met with President Barack Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and some of the 60 other NCSL members. In addition to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the meetings touched on issues like education, transportation and health care.
